I'm about to buy tickets for my annual trip to NYC. I'm defientely planning on seeing On the 20th Century. And my last show is either going to be THE KING & I, IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, or GIGI. I want to see ISBY for Sierra Boggess and it looks like a fun show, but I want something more richer. THE KING & I is such a classic and I would love to see Kelli O'Hara as Anna. And GIGI looks like a very nice show too (and also a classic). Any recommendations?
I would go see THE KING AND I before anything else.
Personally, I recommend The King & I.
The King and I for sure
King and I.
It is, as known quantity as I Kelli Ohara
It Should is slight and Gigi does not sound that great from preview reports.
The King and I without any hesitation out of those 3!
The King and I. It will be an event.
Whose paying for it?
All shows are not created equally. The King and I is one of the best musicals you will see in your life.
I'd imagine it would be hard to say for sure which will be best, as only one has really been seen as it will be on Broadway.
That being said, KING AND I is a solid show, and if SOUTH PACIFIC is any indication will be an absolutely glorious production. It's probably worth going just to hear that score with a full orchestra.
I agree with the other posters - The King & I would be my choice.
This is a monumental first .... a near consensus on Broadwayworld's message board !!(up until the time of this posting at least)
My order would be:
1)King and I
2)Gigi
3)It Shoulda Been You
(just too many bad reviews and comments from people who saw its recent non-Broadway run)
