has anyone tried stagedooring The Price yet? If so, who actually came out?

I see on Instagram that Mark Ruffalo comes out and signs and takes pictures!

I'd also assume that Jessica Hecht does, since she always did during Fiddler.
Jessica Hecht is a true sweetheart and always seems willing to talk to you about the production while she signs. I met her after FIDDLER, but also THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES.
I was at the first preview, and everyone stage doored. Danny DeVito signed but didn't stop for pictures, and the other three actors did both. Not sure if this is/will be what happens regularly, since performances just started, but that was my experience.

Ok so I went to the show today and stagedoored afterwards. Danny Devito, Jessica Hecht, and Mark Ruffalo all came out to sign. Devito didn't take photos, but the other two did.
Just be careful, though, because there were a lot of people at the stagedoor who did not see the show, and just wanted to get things signed. The people I interacted with were very rude as well.

^ i walked by today and there were like a dozen autograph sellers waiting around, it was ridiculous, i hope they start making it that you can only get into the pen with a ticket because its only going to get worse.

I was probably one of the people you saw waiting. Not everyone you see with non play stuff is a seller. Although, today I did have my playbill for this from Friday's show. I collect for myself and never sell. I just can't afford to see all the plays. Some of you have probably seen me with non play stuff.
I agree with you completely though, the sellers that frequent the Stage doors are rude and only care about how many they get to sell. They tried to reserve that area for ticket holders today, but when the play ended they snuck in with the crowd.

I'm going to see the show tomorrow night. Can't wait! Can you tell me which stage door the they use? I read that the official stage door is on 43rd St, but that sometimes actors exit on 42nd. I always seem to pick the wrong door! Lol

Yes, some confirmation on where I should be waiting would be great! I'll be trying next week some time and have horrible luck with stuff like this xD

Will Mark Ruffalo be performing during the last 2 weeks of April? I will be heading to New York for my holidays. I'm flying in from Asia and I can't believe I may get the chance to meet him in person! I have been a fan of Mark for so many years, I really hope to meet him at the stage door.

Going with the stock answer here, he is slated to be in all performances unless he takes ill or has an emergency. Given that the run is incredibly short to begin with, I couldn't imagine him taking a vacation without it having already been announced in advance.

He should be. There are no announcements on the website that he won't be. The stage door is on 43rd St on the right when you exit. The whole cast comes out & signs. The only one who doesn't pose for pics is DeVito, but he still signs autographs & lets you take pics as he's signing. You will not be disappointed in Mark Ruffalo. He is so nice!!

Hi quizking101 and TM49, thank you for the replies! I'm planning to visit the stage door on a Sunday evening after the matinee show. Does Mark Ruffalo perform in all shows including the matinee? I thought of getting him a small gift but I'm not sure whether is it a good idea, does he accept gift from fans?

Has anyone done this recently by any chance? Via instagram, It appears that the stage door isn't nearly as active as it was early on.

Define "active". Does that mean there aren't as many people going to it, the cast isn't coming out, or both?

Sorry--I should have been clear--thank you for asking. I meant the cast isn't coming out.

I was there at the end of February & the whole cast came out. Sometimes casts don't come out after matinees because they're eating & resting up before the evening performance. Also, when I went, one of the security guys informed the crowd that Danny DeVito didn't do selfies, but we were welcome to take pics of him while he was signing autographs. Of course, people still harassed DeVito about it & one guy shoved his camera right in front of DeVito's face while leaning out behind him to get a selfie. DeVito almost walked right into the camera & the flash was on, which blinded him for a second. To his credit, he kept signing autographs. If they're not stage dooring anymore, it's probably because of rude people like that who ruin it for everyone else.

It looked as if MR specifically took some time off because they were doing BCEFA auctions that involved a meet and greet. Completely understandable (and respectable) if he did not come out and sign for free after others donated what I assume was a sizeable amount. I see the show in 2 weeks and although I completely respect the decision to not come out no matter what the reason(especially if stories about what happened to DeVito were the norm) I would really love the chance to get my playbill signed. We shall see.

Only Shalhoub and Hecht come out
People who just wanted Ruffalo and Devito's autograph to sell probably ruined it

Saw the show in mid-March. It was particularly cold the weekend I went down. No one came out after the matinee, but because of the timing I stopped by in the evening after The Glass Menagerie to see if I'd get lucky. Despite the cold, everyone but Jessica Hecht came out. DeVito was out first and fairly quick. Ruffalo was last after quite some time, but he and Shalhoub still did photos and signed, taking their time going down the line.

Hi everyone, I'm currently in NYC right now. I'm flying off on Saturday, hope to catch MR at the stage door before returning back to my country. If the show starts at 2pm or 8pm, what time will the cast come out of the stage door? Thank you!

I was there last night and only Tony Shalhoub came out after about half an hour. The crowd waited another 45 minutes after that until security said everyone else had left out the front door.
