Really? I'm asuming, anyway. These are tips? Are they concerned about their advance already? Seems odd.
Newsies Press Release

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I saw the show a second time last week --- place was packed -- although I didn't look up at the mezz. (I didn't like the show any better the 2nd time around, but I didn't dislike it any more, either -- but both my kids certainly enjoyed the heck out of it!)

I know I got these discounted -- which is how I like all my tickets! I haven't even looked to see if there is a current discount out there. While it's not my cup of tea, I would have hoped it get a nice healthy run.

Newsies current discount is for Monday-Wed performances only and you have to purchase your tickets at least 2 months in advance to get the discount

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a discount like that. Odd.

What's genius about it?
It's called selling in advance.
Has the "cult" depleated already?

It's a perfect Summer Show.

Actually, its now the price for orchestra seats Mon - Wed, starting 8/20 with the reduced price available until the end of Sept -- but it looks like you can buy the tickets further out. I would say early in the week advance must be REALLY weak -- but not a bad idea to reduce the price.

Of course the discount is pretty scant according to B'way Box...$99 is the reduced price, but they are quoting regular price at only $111. (which doesn't seem right)

The discount is for Front Mezz only (which are the Best seats for NEWSIES anyway). Honestly though Disney had a similar and greater discount running for Summer Tickets through August 18th for $85 if you purchased by June 18th, and its been selling out consistently at over 90% of possible profit with that discount. So it has been working for them, and its great for repeat business.

I just got the release in an email, so I guess it was meant to be an ad.

There are 99 dollar seats in the orchestra, and $90 and some in the 80s range. Very odd though. Extreme sides, if they are close, sides further back and the last few rows.

Standard orchestra price is $120/ticket. Or at least it was two and a half months ago.
