TIM BURTON @ WICKED

Don't know if this has already been posted or not or if it belongs on this board, but I went to see Wicked in London on Saturday evening and as I stood in the foyer there stood next to be was Tim Burton and Helena Boneham Carter. They soon got whisked off to their own private bar.

Is he interested in the Wicked movie do you think or was he looking at anyone in the show in mins for Sweeney?

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

Aren't people allowed to see shows just for the fun of seeing shows, or now in order to see them to they need to be making a movie of them?

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

That's exciting!

But I think you may possibly be reading too far into things. They were probably there to watch and enjoy the musical. For entertainment. =]

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

A large percentage of the entertainment community has seen some production of Wicked. Doesn't mean they want to be a part of it.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

Of course I know he might have just been there to enjoy the show, but a bit of specualting is fun, geez calm down.

I'm sure he loved it too, it was a great evenings performance.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

well, I dont know that him seeing the show necasserily means he's thinking about directing, BUT, I think he WOULD do a very good job with it :) His type of directing, imo, would fit the story of Wicked really nicely

however, at one point I heard Stephen Spielberg was in talks... at least, he apparently called Katherine McPhee from American Idol about it (which I have issues with because Idina should get first grabs at the role... but, you know, I wont get into that, I'm probably way too biased anyway)

and um, I am SO jealous- I want to go to friggin london!!! lol

You should have asked him how Johnny's singing lessons were going.

This headline certainly got my attention.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

NOTE: this is me just dreaming, I know they probably just went to watch the show for fun.

But how cool if he went to watch Idina as he was considering her for the Beggar Woman, she'd play the role so well, only have to age her up a bit.

Haha, I love that role. I would adore Idina in the movie...just in the movie. I don't care where.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

Well, whether people are in talks to do a film version or not (I haven't heard anything I'd consider to be reliable on the subject) a movie version of Wicked is pretty much inevitable.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

I am all for Idina doing the Sweeney film, as long as she doesn't speak, or god forbid, sing, and thhey bring in a special effects make up artist to make her NOT look like a drugged up drunken third rate drag queen... and after minimal screen time, Sweeney cuts her throat.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

I would HATE if he directed Wicked. If he were to direct, I would want him to pick another person to help direct. A comedic director...

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

I want Victoria Clark to play the Begger Woman, because I think the role has to go to an unknown.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

no film version of wicked!

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

If there is going to be a film version of Wicked, I'd rather it be based on the novel, not the musical.

re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED

yeah that would be better

oh lord... just...no comment

(though I'm not gonna lie, I did laugh a little *shifty eyes*)

oh, and by the way, a movie of the novel would be awesome! But I STILL would want idina to play book!elphie re: TIM BURTON @ WICKED Because um... she would kick so much butt in that role. Book!elphie even more manic and fierce and awesome than show!elphie is

God that woman is awful, how she ever made into live theatre is beyond me. Was she one of JLarsons roots?
Cause as it stands thats the only way i can see her making it...Flat on her back!!!

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Yeah, it's true that tons of celebs go to see Wicked, but it would be cool that if Wicked was made into a movie soon that Tim did it because hes a genious.
