If you don't have access to CBS via cable or antenna, you want Premium - only Premium gives a live feed of your local CBS station.

Also, if you plan to check out other content during your month of having it, Essential has ads on on-demand content, while Premium doesn't (other than a short commercial for other P+ content at the very beginning of something)
