Maria is just so great. I think it's not fair at all to say that having cancer has anything to do with the fact that she deserves at least a nod. But when I saw her, she really put her heart and soul into that role and she is just amazing. Her voice is so unique- classical training, but husky. It has so much character, but she clears the scratchiness right up for the high notes. I love her voice so much, and her "All For Laura" is just fabulous. She is fabulous. I wish the show hadn't closed... my fingers will still be crossed for her, though!
