Does anyone remember Tovah Feldshuh's performance as Peter Pan? I found an old playbill {April of 197
from the now defunct PLAYHOUSE IN THE PARK in Philadelphia. George Rose is billed as Captain Hook, a role he would reprise in the Sandy Duncan Broadway revival. The two appeared in a network mini-series - HOLOCAUST, airing before this production was staged. I don't recognize a lot of the cast names; however, Ian Ziering (DANCING WITH THE STARS) played the role of John. The ensemble credits Robert Longbottom (SIDE SHOW director) as an ensemble member, along with Glen Scarpelli as a lost boy (ONE DAY AT A TIME.) Tina Johnson (42nd STREET tour) is billed as Wendy and former University of Miami Theatre Dept. Chairman Clay James appeared as a dancing Indian!. The director was Milton Moss and the choreographer George Bunt.
The production apparently toured to the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, Mass. but never went any further. I have read that Ms. Feldshuh continued playing Peter later in the summer for the St. Louis Muni Opera and was attempting to attach her name to a Broadway revival.
Did anyone see this thing?
