Tarrytown - A new musical score is out

I have listened to some of the scores. They r quite unique in a sense that those songs are hard to sing outside the play. A lot of conversation vibe. But then again, a lot of play are like that. 

Wondering will there be anyone want to produce it. Especially after this situation is over there ll be a delay effect regards to the cashflow for sure.

I'm a few songs in, and I'm really enjoying this score!

I could see this getting produced once the pandemic. A small cast, potentially slim orchestrations, it'll be a easy investment to recoup.

Just finished the soundtrack, and I love this show. It's got really clever lyrics, the music has a classical, almost chamber feel, and the orchestrations are gorgeous.

I was really fascinated by the portrayal of Ichabod Crane as a man struggling with addiction. It's not a topic you see explored enough in musical theatre, and the show handled it in a tasteful manner.

The whole cast did a great job, but I especially liked Andy Mientus' portrayal as Ichabod. His 11 o'clock number was funny, exciting, and heartbreaking.

I can easily see this making it to off-Broadway in the future.

For no reason 😂 I like the 'Four downs to the ten yard line'. Jeremy Jordan half speaking, half singing voice always did it for me.

There's a proshot of this recording from 2017 (not with the studio album cast) that's been available this weekend, and I actually enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.  Listening to the album before, I found it very listenable but nothing really grabbed me too much.  Seeing the show, I was much more engaged, and I think they did a lot of really great character work (though I'm not sure how much has been changed/cut since then), and I'm really excited to see if it pops up again in the future.

I saw the proshot too and this is one of the most fascinating new musicals I've listened to in a long time.

As I said before, I really like the score, but having seen the full show, I'm amazed at the script itself (especially considering Adam Wachter's main job is a music director). It has a really nuanced, respectul depiction of alcoholism, and an ending that doesn't hold your hand. It's a show that trusts it's audience.
