Jenn Gambetese (HAIRSPRAY, ALL SHOOK UP) will be playing Jane.
Joshua Strickland (Bway debut, I believe) will be playing Tarzan.
I hear Marc Kudish is in talks to play the villain (dont remember the name of the character). But it's just a very loose rumor.

I have heard rumors that Adam Pascal will return to the role of the storyteller that he did in the workshop!

There is no narrator or storyteller anymore. The role was eliminated.

I think the Tarzan logo is one of the more striking recent pieces of Broadway artwork. The movement in the background and the vibrant green color are very eye catching, and the icon of Tarzan is instantly recognizable, even before you see the title. The "Tarzan" title also looks as if Tarzan himself could have written it, since it has a half human/half animal quality to it. All in all, it's a very good design, and I think your opinion is way off, iamemma.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I'm with SMAXIE!!
It's recognizable to everyone young or old, American or foriegn because the figure of Tarzan swining through the jungle transcends language! Brilliance!!

I believe Shuler Hensley has been mentioned to be playing the Papa Gorilla (forget the character name). That was a looong time ago. Chester Gregory has it mentioned on his website that he'll be doing the show.

I head either the current Maureen in rent (or at least someone who played maureen somewhat recently) is Kala.
Someone from the NYMF show Wild Women of Wongo is in it too according to their bio (can't remember her name).
I guess this info is worth nothing- but if there are good detectives out there- maybe you can use your google skills.

I heard Andy P from La Cage will be in it.
I can't wait to see him. He is a brilliant performer.

Yes I am on Chester Gregory's enewsletter list and got word a few weeks ago that he was playing Terk. It was up on his Forum page too but not there anymore--hmmmm. But no further email updates (chestergregory.com, then click "join the list")

I am so beyond excited to see Merle as a gorilla. The costume will be brilliant! But seriously, I'm really glad to see her doing something that she may and hopefully will get recognized for.

SOOOOO excited to see Merle as Kala. Im not particularly fond of this whole Tarzan the musical thing, but will definately go at least to see Merle if not to see how this is actually going to work.
So glad Merle is originating a role on Broadway, she deserves it. I havent seen the movie in awhile so I dont remember how big a part Kala was, but in an email I received from Merle yesterday she said it was a lead role...so hopefully she gets some decent stage time...shes amazing
