The whole CD is light enjoyable fun.
Definitely something a whole family can listen to.
If I wasn't such a completist, I wouldn't bother....but I can't imagine I'm going to be listening to this very much...
I'm not a fan of the new songs, and the show wasn't too spectacular (although...i enjoyed it more than color purple...) But, I enjoyed the ones from the movie and I think the orchestrations were real good. I probably wont listen to it as much as I will others (I pre-ordered Tarzan off of Amazon.com along with Drowsy Chaperone and Wedding Singer and I forgot they ship everything together, I am dieing to listen to Wedding Singer and Drowsy after I saw them!)

thank you!
and after listening to jenn again in her song,i think she sort of sounds like julie andrews, like her voice is lower than it used to be
what do you all think?
i haven't seen the show (and i don't really have any desire to see it after all the reviews...) but i like the music.. it is good working music.. i was trying to listen to some other "rock"ish music earlier but i can't listen to such hardcore music while i work.. this fits the bill :)

It's on itunes and I LOVE it, although I wish they used Daniel Manche instead of Alex Rutherford on the big songs. And I think Josh sounds kind of like a girl while singing but still very enjoyable and lovely, and Jenn has a gorgeous voice. The orchestrations on this are awseome.
I realize reviews aren't always right but I'm right out of college and I don't exactly have the means to go out and see every single show on Broadway right now. So I have to pick and choose what I feel is more important for me. But thank you for pointing out that I have more options than listening to what other people say.

My cast recording just came from amazon.com and it's just.....okay. I can't imagine that I'm going to have it in my CD player for very long, I'm too hooked on The Wedding Singer cast recording. It's definitely a CD for the family and it is entertaining, I just don't think that I'll be listening to it for a large amount of time. The cast is great, and the music sounds just like the show's (without the insane amplification). Overall, I'd say buy it if you liked the show, or if you just like to collect cast recordings, it's not bad, it's just not amazing!
I listened to the clips and so far, I really like it. I think Josh Strickland's voice is really good.
I really like Who Better Tahn Me reprise. good tune.
I didn't care for this album at all. Merle Dandridge and Chestor Gregory were the only highlights for me. The new music was not exciting I didn't feel. Def. a show I won't be catching next time I'm in NYC.
Cheers,
Christopher
