Elaine Stritch will be doing the table dance to make D'Amboise and Cheno look even younger.
"She's kinda long in the tooth, though, no?"
Compared to Kristin Chenowith in the same production as a "twentysomething"?!

I know, I know. As soon as I typed it, I realized.
Hell, why not get Donna and Baayork to recreate their roles?
I'm sure that girl who played Connie in the last revival could do it. I'm sure she's somewhere whining about being unemployed ala her entire appearance in On the Line.
Does anyone else think those guys might be gay?
Well, it was a lovely thread for a couple of hours.
This is fabulous! It'll be a shame if they don't use Bennett's choreography for the revival, this number is perfection.
Considering how brillant the choreography is for that number, it really needs to be put in for the revival.
This made me smile. I agree that this choreography is amazing and should be replicated in the upcoming revival of PP.

It should be, but will it? I mean we got some Wayne Cilento mess instead of the equally iconic Rich Man's Frug in the Charity revival...
Love this. Didn't McKechnie say after they'd do it on Broadway some of the dancers would run off and immediately throw up?

matt, best12bars and morosco, i couldn't agree more. what a way to start my morning

She's on the Rent tour.
This weekend, my parents and I attended the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus Christmas Follies. The concert was probably my favorite Christmas event I've ever attended. The song selections and arrangements were exquisitely chosen and beautifully performed. The first act closed with Turkey Lurkey with approximately 20 members of the chorus recreating a slightly simplified rendition of the original choreography (similar to the version in Camp), including guys up on platforms behind and beside the 150-member chorus on risers doing that crazy classic "Jingle Bells" choreography. It was a HUGE crowd-pleaser and absolutely thrilling to watch. We made contributions to the chorus for their next concert (extrABBAganza!) and purchased all their CDs. I think this number should be a part of every Christmas concert event. It was joyous, exciting and charming beyond words.
I hope somebody recorded that!!
Nice thread.
Okay, that was very close to TOO much fun! It is hard to imagine how anyone can compete with that choreography. So great a possibility that there'll be a whole lot of grumpy complaining about the revival...

Unfortunately, it was only last weekend. Otherwise, I would probably go again if they had more performances.
