Taylor Dayne in AIDA

Hi gang-I'm a huge Dayniac and just saw Taylor in concert and got to meet her after. What a fab diva. I was just curious to hear from folks who saw her in AIDA and let me know what you thought of her performance. I'll take any and all feedback. Negative is fine if that is what you thought.

I remember enjoying her performance -- Im not 100% sure it was a long time ago

All I remember from her performance was her voice. I didnt listen to any of her music before seeing her in the role, so it took some time getting used to. However, I thought her acting was pretty good.

My mom saw her and absolutely HATED her. She came home and told me that she riffed too much, didn't really have a good voice, and didn't act the role well. She saw it with a bunch of friends and they all felt the same way.

I remember enjoying her performance, more than I expected. Her voice was good and so was her comedic timing. But it's been several years ago and I can't remember much detail.

I had seen the show in previews with Shere Renee Scott. I saw it for the second time with Taylor Dayne. From what I can remember I loved Shere in the role and I thought Taylor was just as good. She certainly had the vocals down, and from where I was sitting she kind of resembled Shere a little too.
