A post on another website mentioned that Sadie is no longer listed as Annie/Duffy.....just Duffy.
Does anyone know why?
It is true. It's on the official website too. It's strange though. I wonder why? Maybe Sadie wasn't fitting in the role as well as Taylor does?
^ I doubt that is the case. I saw Sadie, and she was wonderful. I doubt they would pull her at this point when she has been performing the role for awhile and the show closes so soon. Maybe it was her choice.
So is Taylor Richardson just doing it by herself now?

This is odd. Sadie Sink is much better than Taylor Richardson.

I actually have it from a reliable source that Sadie wanted to go back to just playing Duffy.

I have to question why anyone would leave a starring role to play a supporting character with only a few lines. I doubt it can be as simple as Sadie deciding she wanted to go back to "just playing Duffy." Maybe you should check back with your reliable source to get the whole story. I am quite surprised she isn't sharing the role any longer. I've seen both Sadie and Lilla and preferred Sadie's portrayal of Annie. Lilla came across robotic and unemotional.

Maybe it was just too much for her with her real life and school and such to do it 4 shows a week. She lives in NJ and has to commute. There are other things in life to an 11 year old besides being a "star" on Broadway in a show that's closing. Now matter how good she was (and I heard her sing Maybe in Bryant Park and she was lovely)...maybe it was too much pressure. Who knows...
If it is true, good for her and her family to do what they feel is right for her.

It was from a cast member (or rather a former cast member) and that's all I'm gonna say.
