"Teen Idol"--- that's a PR firms spin to make him sound relevant, hip and current. None of which he currently is.

Yes, pretty to look at but teenage heart-throb? Yeah, maybe when a dozen people watched that crappy MTV show.

God I hated that guy. I doubt he can act. I was looking forward too his reality show beacuse I thought like he would be rejected from a bunch of people.

You guys are so predictable. He's a former teen idol, I doubt he'll have trouble playing... a teen idol. Link Larkin isn't King Lear. And, obviously, he can sing. He's made a (albeit, semi) career out of it. Let's see him on stage first, then begin crying.

I never saw the reality show, I never sat through more than 45 seconds of any O-Town song, but Ashley Parker Angel will always be one of my teen idols from his appearance on Clone High.

I...slept through Gone With The Wind once. I think I totally got it through osmosis!

Just because someone is aware of the unisex nature of a name doesn't mean that, over time, it's not usuaully assigned a gender majority.

I've heard of Mandy Patinkin, but having grown up with a sister named Mandy, it's always going to be a girl name to me.

Ashley's name has nothing to do with how capable he is to play Link.

Tells you how preoccupied everyone is over other stuff.

Link is no Shakespearean tragic hero. I don't think he'll have much trouble. I wish him good luck on his entire run.

I'm no spring chicken but I remember the Liquid Dreams video, which was a favorite at the time. Not sure why so many posters are being so bitchy about him.I wish him well.

I saw him in concert at the Mall of America (no I don't live out there) and he has a very good voice.

Oh and he was prob. named for the Gone With The Wind Character "Ashley Wilkes" who was played by a guy named Leslie.

I am 25 years old and think Ashley is ADORABLE!

Coincidentally, I saw him perform last night in his first Hairspray performance and he was fabulous! He looked the part, his singing was spot-on, and his acting was convincing. He nailed the choreography, too.

All in all, he gave a wonderful performance as Link, and I look forward to seeing him perform again. Don't judge him by his 'teen idol' status or time in O-Town...he is definitely worth the price of a ticket
