When he was in O-Town he was a teen idol. Not as much anymore but still.

Nobody between the ages of 13-19 would have heard of him. Save a low-rated reality show on MTV, he's been out of the mainstream for five or six years.
I had the misfortune of seeing O-Town do a short set as a part of a larger show about that time (2000 or so). It was absolutely excrutiating. But perhaps they all sang fine alone and just didn't mesh well as a group.

he also had some show i think on mtv or something like last year. idk. but ugh. i dont see hmim as someone who would do well on bway, he may surprise me, but i doubt it. does anyone know if he has any background in theatre?

oo yea, he apparently recorded an album last year too, thats what the show was about. one of my friends really likes him apparently, but ehh, not a fan.

I remember the reality show where some skeevy manager put O-Town together. I for the life of me, don't remember Ashley though.

ohh dear, I'm embarrassed to say I remember him (I was in 6th grade when O-town came out...this is sad). I also remember hating that he had a girl's name and thinking he looked a bit like a girl. But you know what? I have NEVER heard him sing and hope he does well in the show. Type wise, he obviously has the Link Look.

I liked O-Town. I heard this on a thread before a formal announcement was made, and I'm curious to see how he does with this.

I doubt that Ashley Parker Angel is that good. From what I remember, O Town wasn't very good, and neither was his MTV reality show. What's with all these 'teen idols' being in hairspray? First it was Hailey Duff, now this??

An article on MTV.com said that his run will be until April 15th. If this is true, I probably won't get to see him, which I really would have liked to.
As far as him acting, I remember on one season of "Making the Band" he could have played the role Macaulay Culkin had in the movie "Party Monster", but choose to not take that time away from O-Town. Also, according to IMBD, he did some voice acting for video games before O-Town.
