Telecharge: Exchanging tickets

In the past I was able to easily change full price tickets from one day to another day, same show, with the only restriction that the new full price tickets had to cost at least as much as the original ones. Has anyone been able to exchange tickets on Telecharge using a discount code for new tix for the same performance such that even with the discount the new ones still cost as much or more than the old full price tix?

You would have to talk to a Telecharge agent because this sounds like a unique case that is handled person-by-person.

Technically, you are requesting a refund in that they would have to charge back your card for the ticket amount before you buy at the new price. While the system may be able to handle a 1:1 exchange (like during COVID), it’s also so archaic and creaky that anything else would be a problem.

Call them up and good luck.

Side Note: I’m really upset that Telecharge did away with their post-COVID ability to exchange tickets once for free, no questions asked and without having to call them. Yes, I understand it was limited and rose out as the result of the pandemic, but I feel like if they learned to have ticket flexibility (even if it means you are allowed exchange for a new date up to 4 weeks later), you would have much happier customers.

I've successfully done what you asked a couple of times - purchased tickets, later got a discount code, and then did an exchange through calling Telecharge (technically a new purchase followed immediately by a refund of the old one) for better seats using the discount code.  On one occasion, they even let me repurchase the same seats I had previously bought at a lower price using the discount code, but I view that as a fluke from a customer service rep who was just having a very good day.
