Amneris, I love that graphic
Thank you Jonathan! I only wish they had put his tribute at the beginning of the credits, there was this akward pause before people realized the movie was over that was just a tad too long. His tribute there would have signified the end of the movie sooner and there would have been more applause. Not to mention that not everyone stayed for all the credits. This movie was a joy...RIP.
thank you jonathan --your greatly missed.

Dear Jonathan,
It's really appropriate that today is Thanksgiving. Considering that yesterday, the story that changed my life became accessible to everyone. And I am incredibly and eternally thankful for this.
Yesterday I went to see the movie that was made based on your show, Rent. And I'm aware that everyone I know will playfully tease me about how many times I'm going to end up seeing it. And I will laugh appropriately, and not get angry. Because I know what they mean. But I don't have to live by it. I am lucky to know the few people I do who love Rent just as much as I do who would never tease me about my love for performing arts, and Rent in particular. The others can make fun of me all they want, but they should never dare to make fun of any of your work, especially Rent.
Rent makes me happy to be alive. And thankful for the ability to love and be loved. So I would like to take a moment to pay homage and say thank you to you. And every single person who was a part of this amazing saga. But mainly, you.
I can only imagine what you could have done with a little more time. Thank you for sharing your life with us and bringing joy into our lives. I don't know what I would have done without this story. It brings me comfort and support in hard times and extra happiness in good times. I don't know what else to say to you. Thank you for helping me find a way and many reasons to celebrate life and love.
I am thankful for the celebration of life. I am thankful for Rent. I am thankful for you, Jonathan Larson. Here's to you.
Thank you, Jonathan Larson.
And happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Thank you, Jonathan Larson. You have touched so many lives with your beautiful music and lyrics.
I love how that is the last thing to come up in the end credits for the movie.
Jonathan gave the Broadway community so much in his short time here on Earth. He touched my life with his musicals in so many ways. I adore this man, and I thank him for the impact he(unknowingly) made on my life.
Dear Jonathan,
There aren't enough words in the world to say how much of an impact you make on my life. I truly believe that I am a better person today because of you. Thank you. R.I.P<3

It's interesting that this thread popped up here. Each year, as befits the holiday that just passed, I write the things I am thankful for in that year. And every year, I thank Jonathan Larson for giving us this gift. And, veering somewhat off the topic, I also gave thanks to Chris Columbus for wrapping Larson's gift up and giving it to the community at large, who can't necessarily get to NYC or see a tour performance.
Back on topic, thank you, and I agree with Emcee, if you haven't heard tick, tick, BOOM! go get it! It's fabulous. And I also agree that it is a horrible thing that Jonathan Larson didn't get to reap the benefits of his life's work.
Thank you Jonathan Larson for changing Musical Theatre.
"Why does it take catastrophe to start a revolution if we're so free, tell me why so many people bleed." -tick, tick...BOOM
There are no words to describe what Rent has meant to me- it has inspired me to pursue my dream, and more importantly to be the person i am today. I could never repay Jonathan Larson for what he has given me through his words and music and this amazing story or love and friendship. Thank you Jonathan Larson.
- I absouluty LOVE tick tick boom as well!
Thank you Jonathan for RENT and tick, tick.. BOOM! Both have meant so much to me.
PS. The pictures of him have made this thread so meaningful. SO thanks!
