I didn't know that there was a Jonathan Larson tribute at the end of the credits - obviously doesn't surprise me at all, but I've yet to stay that long after. I'll be sure and stick around the next time I go, and make sure anyone I'm with does the same.

thank you, Jonathan Larson. I hope you know how much your show has meant to all of us.
I took my parents to see the film again tonight. They loved it.. I think I cried even more this time..
After dragging my mom with me to the broadway show a gazillion times because I was too young to go alone when it first opened lol.. all she could say tonight was "The Man was a f*cking genious"
Wow, saw RENT again, and Jonathan, Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
and thanks to all the artists who are still unknown, and maybe they will never have the chance to be heard or seen. Thank you Jonathan!

Thank you, Mr. Larson. You were indeed, done too soon. One can only wonder what you would have produced in the years since you departed this stage.

Wow, back after three months. Someone really wanted to thank him.
In English I'm supposed to "write a poem in which you describe an important historical event. Choose any event that you think should be remembered, but make sure there is a central character like the hero in a traditional epic. You can write about the people directly involved, even if you don't know them, or you can write about how the event affected you personally."
I want to write about Rent and Jonathan's death, but I'm not really sure how to write about him as "a hero". I know that he is one to me and a lot of other people, but I'm not really sure how to express it in words.
Any ideas?

Rent is not a historical event. Nor was JL's death. Or Gower Champion. He's dead. Get over it.
If you knew anything about broadway....
In musical theater history, Rent is historical! THANK YOU Jonathan Larson. I watched Rent yesterday and was bawling during the documentary. There is so much information that I am just learning about this man. Its astonishing!
Thank you Jonathan Larson =) You changed my life for the better and there's not enough words to express how much I appreciate it.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Jonathan Larson! Rent is an amazing musical, and it has helped me get through some very hard times, like today, when people called me "gay" behind my back. It made me feal terrible, but than I listened to La Vie Boheme and I forgot about my troubles. You'll never know how much this musical has effected me. I've learned to accept everybody, regardless of race, sex, or sexuality. So, Thank you Jonathan Larson!

"when people called me 'gay' behind my back"
Oh, I remember high school. Once I came out, people quit calling me names and I made a lot more friends.
Maybe it'll work for you.
Actually, I'm not gay. They just say that because I was in the musical. That's when it all started. It's been really tough on me.
