I, too, have to admit something.

I hate High School Musical. Even more, the Zac Efron eight- year-old fanbase. But oh my effin' God, Mateo, your avatar...

I haven't been a teenybopper for many a year now (not since 'Nsync split up. *sighs* Lance Bass, how I love thee), but...dammit! He's just hot!
There i am, watching Hairspray, minding my own business, when all of a sudden it hits me as he's singing the beginning of "Without Love": Wow, I love Zac Efron. He's not half as annoying as previously thought to be. And he's got some gorgeous eyes.
And yes, Mateo, your avatar should be illegal in seven states.

Now, here, a picture of Daniela Sea (an actress from The L Word). It freaked me out when I first saw her, because in my world, they look very similar. So I thought I'd share. Feel free to disgree, but its just how it struck me.

How did ya'll hear the soundtrack already? ANYWAY, i just freaking love zac efron. It must be annoying, but everytime I see Hairspray I can't help but squeal at the sight of Mr. Efron.

I took my almost 19 year old, very level headed, best friend to see Hairspray and now she has a huge crush on him!
I love him, too. Love his voice, and I think Mateo's avitar pretty much sums it up!

biggest CHENO fan, the soundtrack leaked BIG TIME yesterday on the internet. I got the soundtrack from my 17-year-old sister (but I preordered it a while ago, so I don't feel too guilty about that).

I can't tell yet whether or not I like this soundtrack better than the first one. I definitely like Zac's voice MUCH MORE than Drew Seeley's voice, so that's nice, but I don't really like a good half of the songs themselves.

Has anyone read the whole Rolling Stone interview? After I read it, I really got the feeling that he's a normal kid, which I appreciate. You can't beat a cute guy who can sing and dance, AND isn't a jerk about it. :)

Zac Efron is very talented, imo. he has a lot of growing to do as an actor, singer, and dancer, but so do a lot of us.

and he really is...gorgeous...

"Bet on it" is on that site. I dont think it's quite searchable yet.

The direction is awkward, Zac looks kind of like a superhero on his way to battle, but the performance is pretty genuine.

I laughed the first time- as I expected- cause I laugh at everything HSM.

It's just so overly dramatic - that it looks like a telenovela-style musical.

But it's not horrible and the visuals make up for it... the scenery, of course!

Ha Mateo. I was just watching that before I came over here and read your post. The video made me feel for the boy. To go from Hairspray to that. The cheesy side of me loves HSM. I especially liked Gotta Go My Own Way but the other part of me wonders how poor Zac was able to do that with a straight face.

He's young, white, skinny, and pretty. He has a bright future ahead of him in Hollywood.
