No hatred, just lovers. We know you are out there. Let's turn the bad buzz around. Write your rave here!
I love Ultimate Spider-man as written by Brian Michael Bendis. Doesn't get better than that brilliant and long-running comic title. Is that what we're talking about?
A nearly three hour orgasim! From start to finish. WOW! Now I hope Julie will call me.
Second the Ultimate Spider-man and Bendis love. And Julie for sure can't claim to have 'invented' Arachne in Spider-man, cause Bendis totally referenced her on the first page of the first Ultimate issue. I thought TOTD would follow the Ultimates more closely like they originally said it would, but it really ended up not following them at all. No Gwen. No Harry. I guess Kong was name checked, but I think he was played by a skinny white guy...
Kat: I even read an interview or article with Taymor where she said she was inspired by the first page of USM. I wonder if she went ahead and read further, or went, "K, I got it."
haha- Really? Well, I suppose it's heartening to know she even glanced at it then. Since absolutely nothing else corresponds though, I'd have to say the 'k, I got it' Theory seems likely.
Hopefully the movie reboot will get the Ultimate series a little closer. Though I think all the pics of Gwen/Emma Stone we've seen so far have been her in a fancy preppy jacket, which imo doesn't bode well. I am such a huge Ultimate Gwen fan- I hope someday she gets her due in an adaption!

It's a guilty pleasure of mine, I must say.
Then again, I have a lot of guilty pleasures... (Addams and Shrek too. Yup. Come at me.)
Eek...this is gonna get nasy
No, the other preview thread is for nastiness. This thread is for only POSITIVE reviews of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark: The NOT Musical. So those of you who have friends who liked the show send them here to show their support. I am serious, we need to hear from the people who would recommend it and go back numerous times, who can't wait for the soundtrack, coffee book, documentary on the making of and, of course, the sequel.

I haven't seen it yet, but I have a strong feeling I'm going to love it.
I think it's going to be an awesome spectacle. I haven't seen it yet and I intend not to judge it until then.
@fingerlakessinger: yeah, you're probably right. haha.
Julie? Still waiting on the call!

I'm seriously considering seeing it this week just so that I can come to this thread and post a huge sprawling lie...
...assuming, of course, that it's not actually good. If it is, I'll go to the regular preview thread and post a huge sprawling lie.
The word of the week: Spidenfreude!

LOL.
I may never see it, but I am going to presume I would have liked it just fine if I ever did.

The riedel out there won't allow this thread to be taken seriously.
It was never meant to be taken seriously.

and what does that say... the people who like SMTOTD don't have the right to a space where they can discuss a show they like in a positive vein, because the majority of posters don't like it.
Please.
