I am not fond of this show. I played the narrator a few years ago, and at first listen I liked the score. But after hearing it a few more times I saw so many flaws. And the three acts have very little in common except the color brown (seriously: in the script). Personally, I'd rather they revived a worthy shows, with an actress who doesn't just play a kid in everything she does. Not perfect casting. Not at all. Sigh.
The Apple Tree is actually a great Musical if U have the right components. Barbara Harris vs Cheno well Barb had the CRAZY wit but Cheno has the Chops Alda was Funny and charming with a good voice Get's is Funny, Quirky with a Great Voice Mike Nichols Directed maybe he would again same theatre as Spam so there is History It fit well and looked great there so another Bway Theatre is not out of the Question and it had a small ensemble so again if the elements are right that score could sing and Mark Twain, Jules Fisher and the Arthur Stockton stories could work just don't rewrite the book and get Fun Designers!
Actually, the three one acts do have something in common (besides the joke about the color brown). All three shows deal with the perils of temptation, and what happens when you get what you wish for.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
