The Bacchae starts previews on Tuesday night. not as excited as i was for Twelfth Night, but free professional theater is free professional theater! anyone else going to try for tickets to the first preview?
Not first preview, but I'm very excited for this production. I love this play.
I just hope Groff either doesn't f*ck it up and/or gets naked. That'll be a bonus.

I have been waiting for this, as well. I'm gonna try to get tickets for the first preview.
I'm planning on going on Thursday. The weather gods don't seem coopertive on the forecast though.
I most-def is lookin forward to this one.
The non-Shakespeare productions of the past have been winners (Streep's "Mother Courage" and of course "Hair")
"Bacchae" is a stellar script and so so so open for new interpretation and staging.
I'm mostly pumped for Glass' score.
I'll be playing V-Line til high-heaven

It's not my favorite play, but I agree, free theater, is free theater! And I'll line up to see Jonathan on a stage anytime!
The Public sent out this slideshow of photos in an email blast last week - he looks yummy!

Anyone in line for closing yet?
Is there any chance of this extending for a bit, like Hair did last year. I know it would be contingent on how well the show is received, but if it does well, is it likely to go on a week or so more? I don't get into the city until after its current scheduled closing date.
Here we go again.
i'm a little worried about the weather tomorrow so if it's nice out around 3 i'll try the stand by line. otherwise the weather is lookin nice on Wednesday and Thursday for you drama.
