Not first preview, but I'm very excited for this production. I love this play.
I just hope Groff either doesn't f*ck it up and/or gets naked. That'll be a bonus.

I most-def is lookin forward to this one.
The non-Shakespeare productions of the past have been winners (Streep's "Mother Courage" and of course "Hair")
"Bacchae" is a stellar script and so so so open for new interpretation and staging.
I'm mostly pumped for Glass' score.
I'll be playing V-Line til high-heaven

It's not my favorite play, but I agree, free theater, is free theater! And I'll line up to see Jonathan on a stage anytime!
The Public sent out this slideshow of photos in an email blast last week - he looks yummy!

Anyone in line for closing yet?
Wanting life but never knowing how
re: The Bacchae- Shakespeare in the Park#8
Posted: 8/10/09 at 5:54pmIs there any chance of this extending for a bit, like Hair did last year. I know it would be contingent on how well the show is received, but if it does well, is it likely to go on a week or so more? I don't get into the city until after its current scheduled closing date.
