Does anyone have any current info on The Band's Visit RUSH tickets? Do you have to show up early? I'm looking for Saturday evening tomorrow the 5th.

I rushed a few days ago. I was considering using other options such as TKTS or StubHub but when I walked by the theatre a little after 9:00, there were only 5-6 people in line, so I decided to join. The line was less than 10 people deep when the box office opened.
It might be worth noting that I went for a weekday performance without Tony Shalhoub. I asked at the box office about a week ago if he would be on sometime this week. I think they said he would perform this weekend---on Sunday and at least one of the performances on Saturday. (I can't remember if they said he would perform for both matinee and evening or just one of them on Saturday.)
If you are going this Saturday (5/5) and care about seeing or not seeing him, you should double-check at the box office because it could change (I could not find any official announcements) and I am speaking from my memory, but I hope this helps.
UPDATE: To Browneyes142, sorry I didn't read your post carefully enough. You specifically wanted Saturday evening. Never mind my extra information.

For anyone looking for an update: I rushed this morning! Got there just before 8 and was second in line - way too early. Only 3 people in line til about 9. By 10 there were probably about 15 people in line.
I chose the evening show (a Shalhoub performance) and got a box seat. The first person in line got side orchestra about halfway back for the matinee.
Anyone here done this more recently? And belated thanks for all the answers above!

Rushed Friday May 18. Arrived 8:15....2nd in line. About 20 people in line by 10:00. Got Row F left side orchestra for $40. Very little was cut off and loved being close. Saw quite a few people near the front of the line seated in the same general area.

I rushed two weeks ago on Friday - both the person who was in front of me in the line and the people behind us got rear mezzanine. We got there around 8 and were 2nd in line, it was less busier than the days before when I walked by.

Does anyone have any recent (post-Tony) morning rush experiences- timing, attendance, etc.? We're looking at a Wednesday for the evening show.

I rushed this morning (Thursday, 6/21). I was first in line and got there about 7am. Another girl got there a couple minutes later. She said she had heard that someone yesterday got there at 7 but was too late and didn’t get seats though, so who knows. It was raining a little this morning, so maybe that had something to do with it?

7am is not bad at all. I might try tomorrow - I’ll probably get there earlier though since it’s Friday.
How'd it go, Bella?

Any rush updates? I'm planning to rush on a Friday (no alternative, sadly). Should I get there at 6 am?

I rushed on Saturday a few weeks ago and I got there at 6am. I was the first person in line. By 7am, there were probably 10ish people there. 20+ by 8am. I'd def say 6 if you wanna be safe!!

Third row, second seat from the far end house left. I only fully missed the ticket booth girl in the opening scene. I imagine the seat next to mine missed a few more things (like parts of the scenes in Dina’s apartment.) Got a lot of Katrina’s back in Omar Sharif, but otherwise was happy to be so close!

Does anyone have any tips/thoughts for rushing this coming Sunday? Since the box office won't open until noon, what time do you think will be necessary for a rush ticket?
Thank you in advance!

Rush report from Friday, July 20:
Hey, guys. After reading this thread, I decided to get in line early. I got to the theater at 5:50 am. I was third in line. The two people ahead of me were friends that got there at 5:30 am. The next person to join the line after me didn't come until 6:50 am. Then the next people around 7:15 am, and after that I stopped counting/noticing. I would say by 8:30 am, there were 10 people in line and I'm not sure when they ran out of tickets. The first two people got box seats, then I got the extreme side orchestra seats close to the stage. Partial view. It seemed to me the people who got in line after me got the best seats because they were a little farther back on the side orch, so their view was less obstructed by stage lights. From my view, I couldn't see some of the telephone guy's scenes or the ticket booth, basically what was outside the turntable. Still, a great seat and I'm very happy!

Sorry for bumping a few rush threads but as I'm going to NY in the next two weeks, any report is worth!
Has anyone done the rush for Band's Visit lately?
I was there two Tuesdays ago - I arrived at 8:00 - 8:30 and was surprised that I was only about 6th in line. By the time the box office opened not many more people joined and I was able to get a Box Ticket (Box50, A1). Only $40 and such a good view! I know it's a long shot but I met an awesome guy called Eth while queuing and lost contact afterwards - on the off chance you read this, please send me a message!
Any updates from anyone who has rushed recently? How early people are lining up? Where rush seats tend to be located now?
My friend is joining me for part of my January 4 - 7, 5 show trip. TBV is in the running for 5th yet-to-be-decided slot. I’ve seen (and loved) it before. She has not. Not sure she’ll even pick this or will want to do all three show slots she’s there for, but I’m giving her info. and letting her decide. If she picks this I’d rather go for the fabulous current discount, but she may opt for waiting and doing rush or TKTS.
I’d love to see it again especially before Lenk leaves. But I also got spoiled last time and upgraded my ticket to second row center orchestra. Not sure I want to see show from much further away.

I rush this show very frequently (about once a week). I usually get there right at 10 or a little before and never have had a problem getting a ticket. Rush is usually partial view orchestra or box seats. They’re way better than the rear mezzanine seats.
Thanks for this. Are box seats partial view (I know they frequently are) also? Also, if both rush partial view orchestra and box seats are available when you get to the window, will they let you pick which you prefer or do you just take what they give you?

Hey everyone!
I'm traveling to nyc the 29th-2nd and am trying to rush for a bunch of shows. I am planning on rushing for this show the 30th but also am trying to rush for Once on this Island. Alone on this trip so can't be in two places at one sadly. What time would be a good time to arrive? THANKS
Does anybody know if they are going to put the lottery back up?
