I was rather surprised to see there wasn't a thread on this already.

The Battery's Down is the online musical tv show written and created by Jake Wilson and co written by different people varying by episode, but most notably Andrew Keenan-Bolger. It's based in New York City and is about the struggles of young musical theatre actors in NYC. Its absolutely FANTASTIC and stars a lot of the most promising up and coming musical theatre actors and includes MANY guest appearances from well known Broadway talent.

If you don't already know about it, then you should definitely check it out.

I think this could be a good spot for us to discuss all the episodes and when the new ones come out.

If you're interesed. Some of the music and lyrics writers have been Laurence O'Keefe, Adam Wachter, Jake Wilson, Kait Kerrigan and many others...it pretty much varies by episode.

I hope you all check it out. It's truly entertaining and the humor is utterly tailored to musical theatre fans and there are so many jokes that only avid broadway theatre goers and musical savants would know.

EDIT: Someone just showed me that there were in fact boards talking about the battery's down episode 7 before, so thank you Uncageg for showing me that. Every time I use the search feature on this site (and STILL when i do) it doesn't show up any results for The Battery's Down. But alas, here is the thread. lol. Updated On: 8/12/08 at 06:15 PM

OMG! Thank you so much for this! I never even knew about it. But wow....Laurence O'Keefe wrote some of the music?? And who doesn't love the Keenan Bolger family! :)

hahah. OMG! That song has been in my head ALL DAY!

"You should be in that, you'd be GREAT in that, you should be in that!" haha. It is so catchy. What a fantastically entertaining song that tailors to Broadway fans and STAYS catchy! :)

o wow! I did do a search on here, three times, and nothing came up. Still nothing comes up when I use the search in message boards up in the right corner. So thats why I said I was surprised. Sorry I didn't notice before! The search feature on here really has problems apparently!

and yeah..I didn't want to say anything in regards to the whole Jake Wilson as straight thing...I still don't actually. lol. i mean, his sexuality is his business and he can live however he wants. So if he says he's straight, then lets just hear it and....yeah. lol. :)
