Ok, I have a special fondness for Terrence Mann's voice myself. But I definitely agree with some of the other posters' choices like the late great David Carroll (his Anatoly in Chess was beautiful!), Norm Lewis (I could listen to him sing the phone book--he could take A-L and Terry Mann could do M-Z....), Michael Ball and Anthony Warlow would be on my list too.
As for some of the old school singers, I liked Raitt, Cullum and Goulet. But I am surprised that no one has mentioned one of my other great favorites--Jerry Orbach. Now there was a man who could sing! His "Try to remember" from "The Fantasticks" will move you to tears, it's so lovely.
You know, Testing, I feel deprived not being able to read your comments about the concert...WHY is that. Just because some, let's say posters, feel a need to get in there and spoil our fun...(?) Will you comment more on what went on at Sardi's? And hope you had a blast for your B-day! :)
I am seeing Marc Kudisch this Friday at the Colorado New Play Summitt readings. He is in the reading for the new adaptation of The Unsinkable Molly Brown. At least I hope I am seeing him. The scheduled reading on Satuday is sold out and they had to add another one on Friday.
I completely disagree with John Barrowman. I think everything he sings sounds flat. Umm, I personally love Michael Cerveris, but I guess all around make voice must go to Norm Lewis.

Thanks !!! (*and thanks again for the Bday wishes !!!)
We had a great time ! As far as the posts regarding the concerts. It just isnt worth it for me anymore to post about them, because eventually, they get deleted. (and rightfully so)
