I heard a musical based on 'The Birds' is coming to Broadway

Only if they invade the theatre and peck the eyes out of everyone in the audience.
Maybe they could add in the Bird Woman from Mary Poppins and make it more kid-friendly.

There is a PLAY version which received mixed notices out-of-town and overseas by Conor MacPherson. Could that be what you're talking about?

Actually I can see this working if they did it like Little Shop Of Horrors. You know you can see Ellen Greene in the Tippi Hedren role.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

The Chicago Off Loop theatre company known as Hell in a Handbag Productions is producing their own camp musical version in Chicago.

Oh, so it's like the Valley of the Dolls stage show. I couldn't imagine a legit adaptation.
Gotcha.
Now "Psycho" on the other hand, I think could be adapted ...
