I can't speak to how the line is currently, but there are things to take into consideration: it's Christmas week, the busiest week entirely for B'way and only 2 weeks before it closes. It will be a mad house.
I'd plan on getting there incredibly early. Sorry I can't be more precise.

People used to get there at 6 am or 7 am for the 10 am box office opening. When I walked by a few weeks ago on Sunday (12 pm box office opening) there was only one woman there at 10 am. But with the combination of the holidays and the weather, anything is possible. Whatever you do, good luck and stay safe! If possible, maybe just get a discounted ticket.

Yes this indeed. If things are the same as they were this summer, I believe they offer $59 side orchestra seats at the box office. The rush tickets they offer are in the boxes, and varie in quality. I rushed over the summer and got there at about 6am for a 10am box office opening, and was 3rd in line.

And if the show is sold out or close to selling out, they'll offer SRO. Considering the week that you are going, odds are likely they'll sell them.

I rushed today, got there at 7:45 and was ninth in line. I got a single third row orchestra seat, but today was also Jennifer Holliday's day off so that may have impacted sales. By the time the box office opened, there were between 30-40 people in line.
I was across the street at the Great Comet rush line and I got in line at 8:05am last Saturday (12/17) - it was snowing mind you - but from my vantage point, I could see that at 8:05am, the Color Purple rush line was shorter than the Great Comet line, and I was 12th in line. THe snow may have slowed down folks headed to the rush line - but good luck!! Cynthia Erivo's performance is NOT TO BE MISSED!
Not a rush report, but I somehow managed to get a GREAT orchestra seat (Row K, seat 102) on today tix at 5:30pm last night for $75. Typically that is their price for rear mezz. I am thinking this was a house seat that was released last minute. I've never seen an orchestra seat for that cheap, and I'm glad I made a return visit. The supporting cast is even better than the original cast vocally in many cases. Cynthia is sick, and still so so so amazing.

How has the rush been this week? What time should I arrive?
I am interested as well. I am rushing Thursday morning and am taking the bus. We should be at the theater by apx. 6:37. What place in line do you think I will have?

Was in line for Dear Evan Hanse yesterday morning and the line for Color Purple was VERY long before 10.
It's also a good week to ask for SRO. Odds are the show will be sold out or close to it all week.
SRO is also being offered for tonight's show as well.

I rushed today, and arrived at 7:15. I was 8th in line, and got two tickets for the night show, albeit not together. By the time I'd gotten my tickets at around 10:10, the line was extremely long and went all the way to the Booth. Definitely arrive early for this show, if you want to get tickets.
I'd expect their rush to be crazy until closing day(Jan. .

Ervio posted on Twitter this morning(~8:00am) that the rush line was very long despite the snow & told everyone to stay warm. I'd imagine tomorrow will be much worse. Anyone know if they sold SRO for both shows this morning? I know both shows today are sold-out.
