I quite enjoyed this although I do think for someone very familiar with gay liberation as a concept it was less revelatory for me than my friend I was with. Still a great piece. Considering the book is from 1977 it was fun to see it interpreted in a style of theater that was popular in the 70s — ensemble based, lots of threads, a little weird, a little nonsensical, but somehow adds up to something powerful in the end. It made it feel less like a modern piece to me and more like a revival of a groundbreaking work from a bygone era. I recommend.
