The Front Page SR

So, I noticed a friend on FB did standing room for The Front Page. Anyone know how that works? Can I get it when the box office opens? Or do I need to wait until closer to showtime?

They sell it in the morning if they're sold out, or very close to being.

I was able to buy it an hour before curtain. I would say there were about 10 other people standing. Beware, the railing is tall. I'm 5'10 and it was perfectly comfortable for me, but a girl next to me had her ticket refunded because she couldn't see over the railing and I'd say she was 5'5 or so. I was actually seated right behind the production seats and a designer invited me to sit next to him at intermission.

Hi there,

How much were the standing room tickets?

Thanks!

I am 5'1 1/2" and I could see fine over the wall. It was actually the perfect height to rest my chin on.

Standing room tickets are $32.

The wall height varies greatly based on what spot you are given. The house right section is not suited for shorter people because cross aisle behind the seats / SRO wall slopes down and makes the wall notably higher.

While this thread is bumped, I'll contribute my recent experience - I got a standing room ticket this past Sunday, and I showed up 40 minutes before the box office opened, which turned out to be completely unnecessary. While there was a small line by noon, I was the only one interested in SRO or even rush for that matter. And there ended up being a ton of open SRO spots at the performance anyhow. The view was well worth the $32, though!

I went Saturday as the matinee was letting out and he offered me rush instead - He was like "It's 3 hrs. You're probably going to want to sit." I was like...yeah you're right... $50 but not a bad seat. Would have preferred a SRO view though.

I was standing in house right. I don't doubt that the wall height varies, but I am pointing out that both of your statements -- that the railing is too high for someone who was 5'5" and that house right is worse -- are not accurate from my experience.

Has anyone tried Standing Room recently? How early would one have to show up typically? Thanks!

Have been noticing a lot of seats available on Telecharge in the past few days, and wonder if the show has sold out at all lately...
