Add me to the Angelina Kelly and Dalton Harrod bandwagon...
I'm guessing we're all too young to have seen Patty Duke in "The Miracle Worker" or Patty McCormack in "The Bad Seed."
I'm sure they would be at the top of the list.
Also Frankie Michaels, young Patrick from "Mame," who is (to this day) the youngest Tony Award winner ever.

I'd say Daisy Egan. But there are so many good ones
Daisy Egan
Danielle Ferland - deserved a tony nomination over Alyson Reid
Agree with Daisy, Andrea and Liam
I'll add Laura Bell Bundy in Ruthless, Tisha Campbell in Really Rosie, Addison Timlin in Gypsy
although I didn't see them, I'd have to agree with Andrea McArdle and Daisy Egan. and I'd add Sarah Hyland (if we can count her as a child) and Kelsey Fowler in Grey Gardens and Emma Rowley in Gypsy. (I honestly think she was incredibly moving)
I never saw Daisy Egan or Andrea McArdle or any of the Billys, etc, etc, BUT...
Sami Gayle made me pee my pants in GYPSY.
Jus sayin.
EDIT: spelling

Sad that no one here mentions Patty Duke in THE MIRACLE WORKER.
Granted, I never saw her. But from what I've heard, it was astonishing.
Emma Rowley in Gypsy and Jacob Levine in Les Mis.
The title thread is "Greatest Child Performance You Have Ever SEEN!"
Not "Greatest Child Performance You Have Ever Heard About"
Addison Timlin in Gypsy
Michael David Federan in The Boy From Oz
Madeleine Martin in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg
I agree that Michael David Federan was incredible.
Danielle Ferland was hysterical in Into the Woods!

Cubby! Hoping he's as good in Shrek.
All the kids in Gypsy at City Center, esp Baby June.
Brian D'Addario in Mermaid, doing "She's in Love."
And the casts of Keep Your Eyes Open, 13, and Chocolate Soup, at the Fringe, Jacobs, and NYMF.

Daisy Eagan, or is it spelled Egan, I forget, but her performance in Secret Garden was unforgettable!
I'll be seeing Billy Elliot (for the first time) tomorrow night, so I may be shuffling my list, or at least braking it up into male/female categories.
I think that "Eagan" is correct.

Mention anyone you want but none will ever measure up to Patty Duke in The Miracle Worker. One word Brilliant....

See? I knew someone would say it. I'm directing the play this spring and have been doing a lot of research...
Just saw Kiril last night in BILLY ELLIOT and it was one of the most incredible things. I cannot get over how each of those boys do it.
Danielle Ferland was pretty damn brilliant in INTO THE WOODS.
LOVED Brian D'Addario. The cast recording certainly doesn't do him justice; I'd listened to it a million times before I actually saw "Little Mermaid" live, and my jaw just dropped when I saw him performing live.
I saw an incredible young Simba when I saw the touring company of "The Lion King" over the summer, but unfortunately, I'm not sure what his name was. There were two young Simbas, and I wasn't sure which one I was seeing-- their headshots weren't in the program, and there wasn't a specific schedule for who would perform the role on what day. The young Simba I saw was very energetic, adding all kinds of improvised dance moves and vocal riffs and stuff (but I was a bit disappointed that he didn't seem all that grieved when Mufasa died).
