The Hairspray Can!

I like the new Hairspray can they put outside the Neil Simon Theatre. Maybe next week when I'm in the city I'll swing by the theatre to see it firsthand. I guess the people at the Neil Simon expect to the show to run awhile (and I agree) if they're putting money into something like that.

Now maybe they will install a mister in the can to cool off the pedestrians on those hot summer days! Yay!

Well, it doesn't have a mister but it does blow smoke every 15 min (I think) at peek traffic hours.

It also looks like the Hairspray logo lights up at night with neon lights! I think the can looks perfect! I hope I get to see it when I am in the city next weekend!

its more often than that, it does it every five. theyre thinkin about slowing it down though because it goes through a whole tank in like a day.

What happened to all the huge marques that used to be outside the theatres? It seems that now they just put a quote from a review on the front and a small logo of the show on the side of the marque....why? Wouldn't it get more attention the other way around?

Very creative! It's a bit on the gaudy side though. I was thinking they would just place the can on the roof of the theatre or something. Didn't think they would attactch it to the side of the threatre itself! It will be something i will see in june!!

Cats, more people will see a show logo on the side of a theatre. Think about it, walking down the street from broadway or 9th, you can see the hairspray logo. if it were facing the street youd only see if you were at little shop.
