I just received an email from the Really useful group and the show has no touring plans as far as now. If the show toured i would think the ideal cast would be: Lisa Brescia as Marian. Jennifer Hope Wills as Laura. Adam Brazier as Walter and Norman Large as Fosco. Any thoughts?

I wish the show did tour. I would see it again in a heartbeat. The ideal cast would be the Broadway one, but that is not likely. It is superior to the London. The three male leads on Broadway have superior voices and charisma
"no touring plans as far as now"?
I wonder, then, if the statements that were made about tours for both the US and the UK were just blowin' smoke and spin.
i haven't heard any official announcements for a tour. Anyhow if you don't trust me, i can PM you the email.
i heard from an inside source that plans for the tour have been scrapped...sorry, muscle.
I would love Lisa Brescia and JHW to tour...but I would rather them do something consistantly on Bway. So I'd be able to see them in shows more often! As for Norman...I don't know if he would do it considering he told me he was going on tour as Thenadier in Les Mis! Just seeing Adam again would be a treat even though he said he was going back to toronto

I can't imagine this show going on tour, with the not so great reviews and such a short Broadway run. That most certainly would create bad word of mouth with a touring production.

I have been listening to the cast recording today. Maria singing "All For Laura" is amazing. I am glad that I got to see her do this live.
The entire cd is amazing. I think it is so emotional. The joy in her voice when Walter decides to help her find Ann, the best show ever!

Sorry...I don't think this show will EVER tour. I sure would have loved to have seen Judy Kuhn play Marian and although I didn't think it deserved to be a flop, it just wasn't that great of a show and I don't think there is any possible way they could market a tour.
I've heard from a few "inside" sources they were trying very hard to create a tour...and are trying to make it happen.
In comparing the cd to the London cast I saw (the one before it closed only with Ruthie Henshall before she left) the london cast is FAR superior!
Maria sounds a bit like Ruthie, only not nearly as good. Whoever plays Anne in the recording is horrible, and the one in London was quite good. The Laura on the cd is alright but Alexandra Silber was AMAZING.
JMO!
Stephanie...you think Angela Christian is horrible! Oh my! Well thats your opinion! Personally I love her performance and she is super sweet, but I also think she is better live!
she opened the show on Broadway and London. Although i think she is not the best singer, she is singing like a woman who has been abused and her singing comes from anger and pain. She is not trying to sound lovely.
Muscle - have you heard Angela sing without the Cumbrian accent on WIW? I think her voice is beautiful!
I think they were all great. Maria and Adam were the ones that really made the show for me though. Angela has a great voice, but she is not really singing her best in WIW because she also has this part of this girl who has been abused and she has to sound like she is screaming more than singing i think.
yeahh I completely agree with you muscle!
