Amazing news. Wood is one of the finest actors working today and his casting in anything is reason to celebrate.

Jordan -- and I mean this sincerely, without a bit of snark -- can you explain what it is you find so "incredible" about Mr. Wood? Because after seeing him give the same listless performance in show after show, I just don't see it.

Also, Hughie taking the Booth. Which is just common sense.
FRANK WOOD!
Larry, I think he's remarkable. I can see how if you see everything he does (as I do) you can see a similarity in his the roles and his acting style, but that can be said for so many actors. But as far as he goes, I think he's one of the best living actors we have and I will pay full price to see him in anything. And I'm Jewish so that's saying a lot.
I loved Frank Wood in Clybourne Park, but I wish he were coming back to Broadway in a piece that sounds a little more interesting. Everything I've read of this play just seems so dull.
I'm more mixed on Wood. Loved him in August: Osage County and Born Yesterday, HATED him in Angels in America and Clybourne Park. The thing he does with the sticking out the tongue drives me NUTS.

Funny -- I thought A:OC was him at his worst, whereas his performance in CLYBOURNE PARK was the most tolerable I've ever found him. I feel like all of his performances can be characterized by: 1) slouchy posture, 2) mumbled/inaudible line readings with minimal inflection of any kind and 3) a general sense that he'd rather be anywhere else in the world.
