Does TLS sound like a Sting vanity project?

This has to be the mother of all marketing jobs selling a musical about ship building. The quality will be there but will the audiences want to fork over a few hundred bucks a seat to see this. New Yorkers will be there but will the all important tourists?

Your thoughts?

Caught the show a few weeks ago while I was in Chicago and liked it. Some incredible moments and some great songs - ah, that scene where they sang "when we dance" was gorgeous

I'm sure they'll tighten up the book a bit. But that's what out if town tryouts are for.

It's a really good show

Isn't there some semblance of vanity in all artistic creation?
