The Making of THE WIZ Live airs tonight

Just an option for another thread if you guys just want to discuss what is being aired on the "Making Of" special tonight and don't want it to get nixed up with the near 50 page The Wiz Live thread.. It airs in less than an hour on NBC.

So excited for this!

I too am excited, but wary based on a couple of things. The last two live musicals were terrible IMO and some of the costume and set stuff in the special seemed a bit fake and cheesy. However the nature of this show benefits from the bright spectacle. It's pretty inherent that it is a fantasy world so they can get away with it a touch more. Not sure how the whole of the production elements will translate to film. Love the LED screens though. Think that is a brilliant choice for a filmed live event.

However I was very impressed with most of the rehearsal footage, the singing and dancing aspects. Shanice Williams is lovely. And the whole cast is fabulous.
