Seems a bit odd to me for this show, but I stopped by the box office tonight and was told that they would be doing a lottery before each show.
Thought I'd pass on the information.
Awww man, all the Abigail Breslin fangirls are gonna be PISSED there's no guarantee for cheap tickets to this show.
In all seriousness, while it's an odd move for a fairly low profile play without a gigantic star, I bet it'll be fairly successful. And if not, it basically turns into rush anyways, cause extra tickets are usually sold off on a first come, first serve basis, are they not?
It will be crowded because the Wicked crowd will spill over for "something to do" when they don't win.
Well rats, I was kinda hoping for a student rush :/ Oh well, I'll still try anyway!
I'm sure it will be held immediately after the Wicked lotto for the exact reason Jordan mentioned.

She has fan girls?
It was a joke. On how many shows with lotteries have a fangirl reputation, and may choose a lottery so they don't dominate the rush.
For the record, there's 10 seats for lotto. Should be interesting.
Lovely. The show isn't even selling so you'd think they might want to let a few more of those seats go for the lottery to build a...What's the word? You know that thing new shows need, especially those not selling very well...Oh yeah. BUZZ.
Sometimes I think Producers go into a random 1st grade classroom and ask the kids for advice in getting people into their shows.

Plenty of dates have been on TDF...I would just buy a ticket in advance.
I don't understand the logic in them just having ten seats. They could do the average 20 something seats and still be fine.
The only show I could see logically doing a very small number of seats Avenue Q when they wanted the lotto seats to be in the front row and that was the number of seats that were in the front row.
I do wish to see this but I do think that the number of seats that they are giving out via lottery is a little small and won't really build that much buzz.
It'll be worth a shot. Yeah, it's next door to 'Wicked', but this is hardly a 'Spelling Bee' situation. I can't imagine the demographics for the two shows overlap much.
Please, I'm sure we've all been to plenty of shows where people just walk by and put their name in not knowing what their doing. I think a lot of the Wicked losers will be there.

Does anyone know the timing of the lottery? I was thinking of trying tonight, but I don't want to show up way too early or late, for that matter. There no information on the show's website or Telecharge.
When I asked on wednesday afternoon the lady really had no idea. She said "right after the Wicked lottery" and I said "so they'll pull names at 7:30?" and she was like "no no right after"...so I'm going to try to stop by and ask before tonight.
They will most likely be picking at 6:30.
I was just at the lotto and I was the last name called. There were probably a little over 40 people there. After the Wicked lotto some lady made an announcement saying that it wad the first preview and everyone should enter the lotto. We probably gained all the losing adults from that lotto.

How many seats do they have? (I read somewhere they only have 10 which seems kind of low for a lottery that would mean only 5 names even Avenue Q picked 6).
Where are they located, How much are they?
And Lastly is it cash only?
Thanks in advance I might try tomorrow
The seats were scattered. They said there were 10 seats but I was the 6th person called and I don't think any of the people before me got 1... So I'm not sure.
Cash preferred.
I was there too...if the lady hadn't announced to the Wicked crowd there was a lotto there would have only been like 20 people there.
But, I did win and the show was FANTASTIC.
