"I just hope that Greif doesn't have the band on stage AGAIN! It didn't work well in N2N. I wasn't a fan of it in RENT but it was just annoying in N2N"

...They were LESS obvious in N2N than they were in Rent. What's the big freaking deal?

2011? Wow, it takes a LONG TIME to develop an original new show. So how does this work--during the early developmental stages, is everyone just doing this on the side without getting paid? How are the mounting costs figured? ($10mil for this?)

The actors were certainly getting paid. There are Equity staged reading / workshop agreements for things like this. Commercial producers were attached from the get-go.

This show actually had a fairly brisk development time, from workshops to Broadway. Compare it to Next to Normal, which was almost a decade in development.
