I miss the proper mobile versions of articles along with the print-friendly option. Screencaps don't work as well for multiple-page articles where you have to visually calculate where the break is. Not to mention the hateful auto-generated "related" content under each article in infinite scroll.
Basically everything about Playbill.com now screams BLOAT.
Yeah, I still hate it. Even the basics like keeping up with the latest news are a chore to locate on any medium.

Unfortunately, that's not what happens in web design unless traffic is significantly reduced to be noticeable by the higher-ups; when a website like Playbill has some exclusive content, that generally doesn't happen. The vast majority of web developers and designers (and, of course, their bosses) have neither knowledge nor interest in usability heuristics and user behavior. You'd think everyone with a job related to media would know by now--no one likes being forced to go below fold without good reason (the only good reason being interesting content above fold). Large graphics and video frames taking up space tend to imply "advertisement spam!" these days when we're forced to scroll past them. And news articles should be dated, not only on the article page itself.
By the way, if you don't have exact spellings or titles for the IBDB search function, I suggest using Google with the "site:IBDB.com" option. Google's algorithms will make suggestions and autocorrect for you.
