Not a fan.
However, I'm looking at it from a computer browser. I imagine this design was optimized for mobile but usable on both.
For my tastes, everything is too big, and I miss having the links I used (Upcoming Shows, Seth, Seating Charts, Playbill Club) easily accessible. Now I need to go to the "hamburger" submenu, which is not as convenient. But I'll get used to it.

They seem to be aiming for edgy, fun content. I follow Playbill on Twitter and Facebook and am getting sick of how juvenile their posting has been as of late. It's like they handed over the passwords to a teenager and let them run wild with it.
It really bothered me when they started posting gifs of Oprah crying during Hamilton's Grammy performance. I expected more from Playbill, but I guess everything good goes to **** at some point. That said, Jennifer Tepper's articles have been a real highlight recently.

I do not like the new website. The playbill banner at the top is strange and sometimes scrolls down and sometimes doesn't. It's WAY too busy.
The main reasons I went to Playbill.com were for
1. Job listings
2. Weekly schedule of current Broadway shows
3. Rush policies
Where is the weekly schedule?

I can't stand client script-heavy websites. In any case, I'm using my browser adblock plugin to liberally "edit" the look, like removing the horizontal scroller boxes that I despise.

What you want is to click the three-bar menu symbol in the upper left.

I've been using this site's weekly schedule lately.

FWIW, IBDB is super picky with its searches. You need to have the correct spelling (no approximations of names) and/or the full title (no confusing "a" with "the"
or it comes "no results".
I find it very frustrating to use.

One thing I noticed about the new Playbill.com is that all the pictures from old galleries are now cropped and enlarged but they aren't higher quality. The pictures now look like someone just took the original version and stretched them out. I am not a fan of all the changes.
This is what the old site had now you go to that article and the image goes to this. So you can't save decent versions of the old pictures.

It's like someone came into my closet and moved everything around! I liked the old dashboard where you can see much more with one glance. I don't want to scroll. I miss having easy access to Upcoming Broadway, Off Broadway Shows listings in the margin.

Maybe because I'm looking at it on my iPad I don't mind it much. I'm sure they'll work out the bugs based on the feedback, but overall I'm liking that the advertising isn't taking over the page (though the headline shows and the big "hero slider" are a bit much) and the 12 articles a day on HAMILTON are not as conspicuous.

Not very pleased with this new conglomeration at all. I used to go there to information about specific shows that are currently running - dates & performances, running times, etc. Now, it takes you into what, I assume, is the Vault. So far every running time I needed has been wrong (Disaster! listed as 2:15 w/no intermission - should be 2:05 w/intermission / Noises Off, listed as having only 1 intermission). Also, Noises Off is a limited run. I wanted to find the closing date which used to be listed. Now, it just lists the Closing Date as Currently Running. Yeah, I know that. When is is scheduled to close?????? Can't be bothered to go there anymore. Like IMDB, you can't trust the information.

I think I changed my mind about liking it. The homepage default today has remained only those stupid Special Features, and it takes at least two steps to see all the news, which is mainly what I'm there for.

Things like this take time to get used to. However, I don't think I'll get used to it. It's a mess. Tons of wasted space... How much yellow do we need??

Sorry to bump this again just to complain, but I really am so sick of this new design. I did not before realize how frequently I use the Vault until now, when I have to attempt to work around its terrible, ugly, and frankly, uninformative and unhelpful layout and design. All of the images that are listed in the other thread on Season Playbills are no longer able to be seen because they changed the URL formatting with the overhaul. I am so frustrated and disappointed.

There seem to be way more problems than I'd have expected if they'd done thorough beta testing.

The "Look Inside the Playbill" feature that was on PlaybillVault is gone, or at least I can't find it. I loved that feature, and I used it all the time. Is it gone or is it now part of Playbill Pro for $24/month? Has anyone managed to find that feature? Also, the Playbill cover images are much smaller than they used to be.
Add me to the list of those who hate the redesign. The missing closing date, giant poor quality pictures blocking the screen, blinding yellow, inside the Playbill gone. Plus, a pet peeve of mine: because of the banner on the bottom of the page that you can't get rid of, when you hit Page Down, you actually have to scroll back up a little to see what was covered by the banner, or you miss a few lines. (Ex: look at the show listings and hit Page Down to scroll.)

Not impressed, not happy. Where previously everything was user-friendly and easy to navigate, it now requires much more effort to get to the features you use regularly.

The most frustrating thing is the relegation of opening/closing/performance info to way down on the page. That's arguably the most essential information and its so hard to find. And the playbill image quality is atrocious.
Was just on the page for LION IN WINTER and the performance info was past tons of photos not even from that production. Terrible!

I cannot understand one bit why they have removed all the info about when shows are actually running! That's basically the only thing I used the site for! Click on any Broadway or Off-Broadway show and nowhere does it actually say what days and times the show performs. Does it have a 7 or 8pm curtain? Who knows! Playbill certainly doesn't want you to know!
Am I just missing it? How can such an important piece of information be unavailable?

Yero, you can still browse inside playbills by searching a show title and clicking the resulting playbill cover.

The video is now jumpy on my tablet. It is like square chunks of it shifting around the screen.
