newintown, I agree with you. Could have been a funnier joke. Broadway.com used to have some funny jokes on April Fool's Day, and I will never forget their fake announcement about Chita Rivera taking over The Girl in the Yellow Dress in CONTACT. Now that was a clever joke!

My favorite BWW April Fool's Day joke was the article about Bill Clinton taking over the role of Billy Flynn in CHICAGO. Given some of their stunt casting, this seemed entirely plausible to me. Plus, he'd be good!

There was an article posted here at BWW that claimed the incoming revival of WEST SIDE STORY would feature new music. Namely, the song "Officer Krupke" was going to be replaced with something called "We're F*CKed". I swallowed the damned thing hook, line and sinker!
