The Nicola Hughes LOVE THREAD

I just found out that Nicola Hughes has been cast as Bess in Trevor Nunn's production of "Porgy and Bess" in London. I would so love to go to London to see her in it. She's one of the most amazing musical theatre performers working today and I wish she would get her big break and make it to Broadway. Hopefully the exposure in "Porgy and Bess" will get her to Broadway.

Is anybody else here a fan?

Nicola Hughes is AMAZING! She was fantastic as Velma in Chicago and blew everyone away in Fosse, her portrayl of Bess will be a real treat.

She is also the nicest woman too, she comes from the same town as me and I interviewed her for me degree disertation - such a lovely woman.

out of 1200+ CD's that I own, Nicola's is definitely in my top 20. Her version of "All That Jazz" is incredible and her rendition of "Le Jazz Hot" surpasses the original. Whoever did her orchestrations is brilliant- they are just so rich and jazzy.
