Okay, I finally saw the final Conquest two nights ago, and I felt it was finally time to post my review of this masterwork of theatre. Though there were certainly those which I enjoyed more than others, every Conquest was a masterfully crafted piece of theatre, each showcasing different actors at different parts and each extremely hilarious. With all of the plays together, one truly gets the entire picture of the weekend, and makes the ending of Round and Round the Garden even more effective. Though each actor was great is their roles individually, here's my run down of the shows:

Table Manners
Best Male Performer- Norman
Best Female Peformer- Sarah
Rating: 9.5 out of 10 Stars

Living Together
Best Male Performer- Reg
Best Female Performer- Ruth
Rating: 8.5 out of 10 Stars

Round and Round the Garden
Best Male Performer- Tom
Best Female Performer- Annie
Rating: 9 out of 10 Stars

Sorry I used character names, but I don't have my playbill handy and I don't want to screw up a Brit's name on the internet. Overall, Table Manners was the best, followed by Garden, and followed closely by Living Together. Every performance was amazing, and each show showcased a different one, though I could have easily said Norman was the best of them all. Steven Mangan (Don't kill me if I'm wrong) easily owns the show, but it's almost always stolen by someone else at one point or another. His comic timing is impeccable, and even his moody, somewhat sad scenes are deeply moving: The traits of a true actor.

Overall, I completely enjoyed the experience of seeing such theatre, and I encourage everyone who has yet to see this masterwork to hurry quickly and see one of the last ten days of The Norman Conquests. Really, if anything deserves to be filmed for Great Performances, it's this.

Overall rating:
9.0 out of 10 stars

My sister has loved Stephen Mangan for longer than is healthy. Have you ever watched Green Wing? It's worth a download! She refers to him as 'my husband Stephen Mangan'! We only managed to see Table Manners, unfortunately, when it was originally in the UK re: The Norman Conquests Review

Green Wing is now available to watch for free in the US on Hulu.com, which is awesome, I've loved it for a very long time.

I got to meet Stephen Mangan after the show and he was happy (and surprised!) to hear of American Green Wing fans. He couldn't of been nicer and took a great pic with him and my best friend, really nice guy.

That was after I saw 'Round & Round the Garden', I'm going back to catch 'Table Manners' this Saturday. I'm so excited, the first one I saw made me laugh so much.

SO glad you enjoyed The Norman Conquests!! Isn't it great how each of the characters get their chance to steal a show?

I'm excited to hear you liked the show! I finally have a day available to see the trilogy next weekend. They only have seats in the 400's left. Anyone ever sat over there?

I've only sat in the 100s and 300s, but there really is not a bad seat in the house given how this production is staged.

The 400s are great, there really is not a bad spot in the round! Enjoy the show!
