Not to rain on the "SRO WOO WOO" thing, but... It's possible it's because it was the ONLY musical on tkts last night from like 4:30pm on. There were several VERY not happy families in the balcony last night where parents apparently didn't research and figured any musical was better than no musical ~ with kids in the TLK, TLM, MP demographic. A couple of the kids looked traumatized.

edited to take my opinion off of it. But the truth about WHY it was SRO deserves to be known.

Just bringing some honesty into the SRO thing. People who were getting last minute tickets had no other choice. I'll take my thoughts (which aren't necessarily bad) off of it.

saw it on Saturday (finally). OH MY GOD BRILLIANCE.

I can't wait for a recording but nothing will be a substitute for the immensity of seeing it live.

One of the best musicals I have ever seen. I've been telling people to go see it like crazy. I'm obsessed.

One of the cast members said they are recording at the end of march or the beginning of April. I forget who though, i think it was the one who played the mom.

I don't lie. I was in Manhattan from like 4:15 on and the only musical I saw on the tkts board was PS. Everything else was plays. And I saw the faces of the kids in the balcony, some of whom were crying and holding their ears.

But fine. Believe the shill.

Jordan, many here know that I work at PS (and am a GREAT FAN), but I have to admit that I agree with you re: kids at the show. I noticed a couple of VERY young ones in the orch. NOT for kids under 10 or 12, I think. Plus, the sound system is WAY louder in the Balc than it is downstairs.

I sat front row orch and was expecting to be blown out by the sound, like you guys had said but it was surprisingly pleasant.

then again, i go to a lot of rock shows anyway so maybe i'm used to it

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YAY!

I am soo glad that PASSING STRANGE is picking up lately due to good word of mouth...

I am not promising but I might REVISIT Passing Strange again and do another 10/10 Report...this time with Stage Door Photos... I am thinking of going back bec... I want the pink/reddish Amsterdam t-shirt and I LOVE the show!

and for those who have not seen the show..GO SEE IT! The Best show Ive seen this season!!! Youre getting 2 for the price of one...a broadway show and a rock concert!

I went to the Wed. matinee and the show and the audience was AMAZINGLY receptive! I was in the 1st mezz and people started waving their hands during a couple of the songs and clapping along. It was a great time!

I have a quick question or two though- I am writing a review of this for my theatre class, and am trying to recall the exact quote used- something like "Make yourself into art". Does anyone remember or have any other like quotes from the show

and...

I know there was a way to get ringtones for the show posted a while ago- how do you do that?
