Spider, sometimes I think we're the same person.
Oh, we aren't? Dang it!!! Fooled again.
Who knows? Perhaps you are?
Well, Monkey is my stalking partner so I guess Monkey, Amasis, and I can go down-unda and find us a Warlow!!!
BUMP to continue the Warlow love!!
He is the light of my life.
This thread dying so soon? Spider, you're slacking! Come over to where I live and we'll go to Australia, spider. He's doing some performances in Sydney and Melbourne in 2005 .
I listened to the CSR recording of Les Miserables, and it was the first time I had listened to anything relating to musical theatre and I can remember even then being like "Who is that incredible singer" And then when I got the Jekyll and Hyde CD I was blown away by him again....
Now I just need to go and order some of his solo CD's and I will be happy!
HE'S MINE I TELLS YOU...MY OWN...MY PRECIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
I love the man. And thank god he refuses to see the lights of Broadway. He is Australian, and I'm glad he stays that way...
I saw him as a young child in Phantom, and I saw him in Annie two years ago. We got backstage, because my old dance teacher was his ex-girlfriend...I stupidly did not get anything signed...but the man is humble, intellgent, and to quote spidey "A VOCAL GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Paradox - that's cruel of you . Are you from Australia? Did you see him in My Fair Lady or The Secret Garden?
AK - was he not breathtaking as Enjolras? I wish he could have done the 10th anniversary concert. Do get his solo stuff - 'Centre Stage' is great, but then again everything he's done has been great .

Just popping in to spread the 'love' as well.

Yey! Anthony has a thread all of his own!!!
May I just say, this man is my idol & if I ever go to Oz I'm going to kidnap him, smuggle him back to the UK & force him to take the lead in Phantom.
His voice is sooooooo yummy! And he can do & be anything - passionate ballads, sexy seductive songs, character songs, Lloyd-Webber, Rodgers & Hammerstein, swing/big band, jazz, G&S etc etc - is there anything he can't sing? And as for his range! What is he, like second bass to first tenor?!?
One of my fave songs is Lily's Eyes, with Philip Quast - breathtaking!
Oh, In The Money, please keep your hands off our Anthony Warlow. Don't you have enough talent over there? We would like to keep a few gifted people down here to warm our cockles. Thank you.
I so agree about 'Lilly's Eyes.' Warlow and Philip Quast blended beautifully. It was a lovely production.
Um....reigning Warlow fanatic here. Thank you! Anyway, ever since I started this thread last night I have listened to Warlow over and over and over again. Infact, I haven't listened to anything else. I put one of his cds in, and when it is finished I pop another one in the cd player and so on.....and so on....and so on. I will cherish my cds and autograph pictures and Jekyll and Hyde Libretto *nah, nah, nahny boo boo** for as long as I have a breath in my body. And one day I will fly to Australia and watch him perform. Oh yes!! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
Come down anytime, Spider.
Anthony is performing in 'HMS Pinafore' for Opera Australia next year. If anyone had nasty ideas about nabbing our Warlow, I can tell you that there will be far too many people around at the State Theatre!
Damn you!! Curse you!!! You have surely past the point of no return and must be whipped perfusely for mentioning that I shall not see him perform the show. *Crack of Whip*
Ouch!
Now, was that really necessary? I shall attempt retain my dignity as I watch The Warlow. Oh Joy! Oh rapture unforeseen!
Well, the first part of that was from POTO, if you did not know (Warlow's big break) and the other part was all in the name of fun, just incase you thought I was serious. Or was I? **Evil Grin**
All right, for you Australians... can Broadway just borrow him for one season? Just one??
*cough* *sputter* please tell me the david hasselhoff thing was a joke. PLEASE.
Oh it better be or there will be people with pitchforks, torches, wearing Warlow fanclub t-shirts at his doorstep. La Resistance!!!
Oh, Spider! I could never stay mad at someone who has the Lady from the Bucket Residence as an icon! *wink*
Those welts will heal, I'm sure.
I am probably the only person on the planet who did not see POTO - with or without The Warlow. So, that reference just splattered on my back wall. Sorry!
It wouldn't make a difference to you if he was on Broadway or in Australia, Amasis. Australia is even so much closer to you... in fact, you do have planes (or so I heard) . *hint, hint*
QM
ULTRA GASP!!!!! **hangs head in shame** You have at least heard Warlow sing "Music of the Night," right? Hey, I rhymed.
Lovely rhyme!
Oh, yes. 'Music of the Night' was unavoidable. I thought Anthony was marvellous. no surprise there!
