I didn't think 14 stitches could fit on one finger- did they have to reattach the whole thing or something?

right index finger...and you have to love AP for the BREAKING NEWS. This happened on opening day of the previews. I see the press is RIGHT with it. With this white hot spotlight on their every move, the next thing I expect to hear coming out of the Odd Couple press is 'breaking news...Broderick has hang nail.

The broken finger is awkward but Lane is making the best of it, and hopefully the bandages will be off soon.

At least he's not like Cher...who can't perform with a broken finger nail!

Thanks for the education. I'm mostly familiar with the middle finger.

PS Let's leave Cher out of this. I haven't seen Mr. Lane arrive on an elephant, but I may be wrong.

It was noticeable during the performance, but he didn't bring attention to it and went along as if nothing was wrong (it's just hard not to see a bright white bandage under the stage lights). I admittedly didn't even notice it when he was at the stage door signing (of course I was in euphoria at the time and didn't notice much re: The Official Nathan Lane Boo-Boo Thread ).

I wish him the speediest recovery and hopefully no more accidents for a very long time! He seems to get one bad injury a run, so maybe this will be it.

Well, hopefully it's not the hand he does most things with. That would not be good.

heh heh, I did the same thing to myself about 3 weeks ago; my finger is still in a splint/cast thing. Trust me, it is possible to have 14 stitches on a finger.
