Haven't seen anything on here about THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO at the Pearl, but I saw it last night and it was excellent. Much better than ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS. I really wonder why the classic farces aren't revived more often. I reviewed it here: http://scribicide.com/2012/11/09/a-laugh-riot-at-the-pearl/

Sounds like a great production! I'd love to see it--I am a huge fan of the play.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

I've long hoped Lincoln Center would mount a revival at The Beaumont. I'll have to check out this production.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Yeah, you should definitely see it. Though Charles Morey certainly takes liberties with the script (mostly more jokes), it is true to the spirit of Beaumarchais.
