Are there anymore English recordings of this show besides the Canadian, OBC and Movie recordings?

Will there be a recording of the Spectacular?...I hope so.

It would be great to have the cast in Sin City recorded, that's for sure. It sounds like they are quite talented.

There are two studio recordings that are in English. One is with Ethan Freeman, Claire Moore, and John Barrowman. The other is the same, only with Graham Bickly as the Phantom instead of Ethan Freeman.

The only thing I dislike about these recording is that the orchestrations are really boring. But the vocals are great.

I've seen those at the store but I'm alittle worried about those. I've heard of Ethan Freeman before. Is there an Australian Cast Recording?

There's also a recording with some Michael Heath

Back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky. With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high! Blood-red were the spurs i' the golden noon; wine-red was his velvet coat, when they shot him down on the highway, down like a dog on the highway, and he lay in his blood on the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat... (The Highwayman. Sung by: Loreena McKennitt)

No, although there was a petition.

There is a Mexican cast recording and two German cast recordings as well.

The one with Ethan Freeman, Claire Moore, and John Barrowman is just a highlights recording and does not feature the Final Lair. Instead, the one I have has a few songs from "Sunset Boulevard" as bonus tracks.

It's worth it for Claire's "Think of Me".

Isn't the OLC basically the OBC anyway? What would be different about them?

LizzieCurry there was a petition for an OZ recording of POTO? what happened and why did they decide not to do one?

I believe there were at least 10,000 signatures.

I dunno; I guess RUG is cheap.

If I recall, Webber refused to allow any recordings because it would diminish sales of the Original cast album, which still remains the largest selling cast recording of all time. I can't remember how Livent was able to produce one, but I'm sure there were some dealings for that one...I think it may have been out of his control, though he was able to stop them from producing a double CD recording.

I think the contract said that there could be no other English cast recordings that were complete. (In other words, if it's an English recording, it can only be a highlights album, such as the Canadian Cast Recording.)
