AEA AGMA SM, I'm with you on reinstating the falling chandelier. Frankly, it doesn't seem that hard to do, especially if you confine it to the stage. A Phantom production without a crashing chandelier is almost as bad as a "Sound of Music" without nuns!
It doesn't even have to be confined to the stage. As AEA AGMA SM said, most venues have the pick points already. And if they've housed WICKED they can do the chandelier! The Dragon for WICKED often uses the PoTO pick points anyway.

Posted: 9/1/13 at 1:05pmI was told that when the first national tour of Wicked was in pre-production they had looked into creating a new rig/pick points for their show and pretty much every road house told them that they had to continue using the Phantom rig. A lot of road houses went through major expenses to get their spaces ready for Phantom the first time it came around, and even when Wicked hit the road Phantom was still doing multi-week sit downs, so the road houses weren't willing to deviate from what Phantom needed.
