This makes me happy :)
The Pirate Queen Lands On Billboard Cast Album Chart

It sounds nice, but I can't imagine this staying on the charts for more than a couple of weeks or so. It's kind of like a Tori Amos album these days - all of the hardcore fans of her (or in Pirate Queen's case, the more intense fans of the show itself, its composers, or SJB) buy it within a week or two and never hear about it again. There's no reason for it to stick around much longer.

How many cast albums come out every week - not too hard to make the top 10 !!!
How many copies do you have to sell to make it on this chart? Like 100?
You guys really aren't as clever or original in your bashing as you think you are.
Sheesh, let it have a week to celebrate.

I don't know if that was directed at me, but I certainly wasn't attempting to "bash" the show. I've never seen it. But realistically speaking, what did you expect everyone to respond to this with? Posting anything on a message board leaves one's post open to criticism. I think it's obnoxious when one poster feels the need to repeat the same criticism over and over, but if you want exclusively positive thoughts on a flopped show, I think a Pirate Queen community would be more appropriate.
haha buy as many copies as you can now, and then sell them on eBay next year when it's out of print.
I'm really glad. The cast deserves some good news, and I like the CD.

I have listened to the recording way too many times!
This is very good news. I adore the CD.
I love the CD as well! I am so glad for The Pirate Queen!
But realistically speaking, what did you expect everyone to respond to this with?
siamese dreams - Oh I expect it. It still makes me roll my eyes though. Don't worry, I wasn't directing my comments at you.
