Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has seen The Play That Goes Wrong at its new off-Broadway home? I didn't get to catch it during its Broadway run and was thinking of checking this out. Was hoping to get any feedback as to how the cast/sets/direction compared. Thanks!

I have not seen it off broadway, but my cousin has! I recommend the show to her since I saw the tour and laughed my ass off. She does see a fair amount of theatre, but is not like us on here haha. Her report was that the theatre was small and played perfectly for the show, and she absolutely loved it. I wish I had more than that to report, but at least its a good one! I hope to catch this again someday as well.

Michael Paulson from NY Times was there on February 17 but looks like he didn't write a review. He just tweeted from the theater.

I saw it at NW Stages last week having caught it on Broadway when it first opened a couple of years ago with the original cast.
The show fits the venue much better than it did at the Lyceum (it appears to be a near identical set) filling the height and width of the theatre. Hard to compare the casts with that time gap but if anything this lot struck me as more detailed and human than the originals. I was much, much closer to them however so some of that I'm sure was just a reflection of that. Hilarious from start to finish, it's certainly no shadow of what was running at the Lyceum and in many ways is frankly in the place it always should have been.

Glad to hear that, I hope it stays around for awhile. I saw it in London and on Broadway and had so much fun.

Posted: 3/26/19 at 12:16pmJust wanted to update. Saw the show last night and it was brilliant! I had a great time. It is like "Noises Off" on steroids...and I mean that as a compliment. The physical humor was next level and the cast was fantastic (even got to meet a few in the lobby before the show started ). I think New World Stages is the perfect venue for it and I hope it has a long and healthy run!

I've described it as "Noises Off without the plot"
